Ranking SystemSome of your ranking categories may need modification. If better firms are
to receive a higher score then it makes little sense to rate "asshole
factor" 1-10 with a firm with few ssholes receiving a 1. This drives down
the average of a firm. The same could be said with substance abuse or
smoking.

Dear Stapler,
Thank you for your input on this. To answer your question we are using a
very complex algorhythm to analyze these results and come up with our final
figures for each rating. Each ranking is weighted to create a composite
of what the "ultimate conditions" would be for a given associate at a law
firm.
We will be posting our ranking methodology and how everything is scaled in
terms of points into the final total shortly. Our objective right now is to
get the board and rankings started without disclosing this.
You ask a very good question. Since this board is for attorneys, it is our
belief that they will question or methodology and may not participate if we
make this public initially.
