Law firm rankingsI am a first year associate. Why are the law firm rankings so hyped up?
Are they reliable? Do you think I should actually believe every word
written in these? What are your views for the same?

Law Firm rankings are hyped up for a couple of different reasons. A big
part of it is the, “I’m the biggest and the best”
mentality of attorneys. However, there is a lot of valuable information in
the some rankings; they can tell you a great deal about where a firm is
headed and if it’s a place you’d be interested in practicing.
Some ranking are very reliable, others not so much; it can be hard to tell
on the internet (not everyone has as much integrity as the Judge). Make
sure you check with your career services department for trustworthy
information about firms.
