Dear Judged
The Lost RingI had this beautiful diamond ring which always adorned my finger. But
yesterday when I was leaving the firm I was shocked to see that it was
missing! I know that the Judge is not a detective in disguise, but I think
someone at the firm has it for sure. What should I do?

Dear Doppiedaps,
At my last job, I had similar problem; one of the other attorneys would
steal gum from my desk-swear to god. Now, I understand that’s not
quite as severe as a diamond ring, so I have to ask: why do you think that
someone from your office stole it? Do you have any actual proof (I assume
the answer to that is no, b/c if you did, I’m sure you wouldn’t
be writing to me about it)? Unless you get some firm evidence that someone
in your office took the ring, I wouldn’t go around accusing your
co-workers of taking it; people will think you’re crazy, and
you’ll develop a bad reputation.
On a final note, I would
check your purse, your office desk, and your house for the ring;
let’s be honest: there’s no chance that you lost the ring?

Dear Your Honor,
Dear Judge,
