Wow. It sounds like you’re having a bit of a breakdown.  First off, I think you need a day off of work.  Get some rest (and by rest, I mean sleep, not salsa dancing).  After about 12 hours of sleep, you can sit down and think about what you want to do with your career: if you hate your practice area, then switch. That’s a simple decision to make (finding a new position is a different story, but at least you’ll have an idea of what you want to do with your career). 

As for your relationship, I don’t know what to tell you; maybe you should take another day off to contemplate that.  In terms of why you can’t learn salsa, there are several possible reasons, but I’m going to take a wild guess and say it’s because you’re a law firm associate who has no rhythm.  This will ring especially true if you’re a guy.  Sorry, I hate to say it, but I’ve been to enough firm functions to know that male lawyers CANNOT dance. In any case, I’d be more concerned about your career and relationship then I would about the salsa dancing.
