Balch's Corporate & Financial Services Sections get New Chairmen
"The Firm's Management Council has asked Colin Luke to chair the Corporate Section and Clark Watson to chair the Financial Services Section. Foster Clark and Hamp Boles are rotating out of those positions in order to devote more time to helping those Sections and the Firm strengthen and develop client relationships.

Clark Watson commented on his new position by stating, “I am grateful for this new opportunity to be of service to the clients, attorneys and staff of Balch & Bingham. No one can ever replace Hamp Boles, the premier banking lawyer in Alabama, who has done a masterful job of building and leading the firm's financial services practice. He has been and will continue to be a tremendous asset to our Section and to the firm as a whole. With the many changes that are taking place in banks and other transaction-intense industries, we have both great opportunities and significant challenges as we plan for our future success. I look forward to working with the very talented lawyers of the Financial Services Section in all of the firm's offices as we provide the best possible representation to existing clients and to the new clients that we hope to bring to the firm.”

Colin Luke expressed his feelings of gratitude towards Foster Clark and his outlook on his new position by stating, “Our Firm has been extremely fortunate to have benefited from Foster Clark’s leadership of the corporate section for a number of years. Foster has worked tirelessly to promote Balch & Bingham and its transactional capabilities. Importantly for the Firm, Foster has distinguished himself with the National Association of Bond Lawyers and has achieved the high honor of being selected as the president-elect of NABL. With the assistance of everyone in the corporate section, I would hope to follow in Foster's footsteps and to take the corporate section to even higher levels of service and notoriety. Balch & Bingham's corporate practice has a very bright future, and I am excited to be associated with it. "
