Inquiring Minds Want To KnowOkay, I'll bite. Why do you have a banner ad for your own site at the
top of the page?

Dear bitterhag,
Well, Ms. Hag - may I call you Bitter? All right then. The fact is, Ms.
Hag, that a top-of-the-page banner ad is prime advertising real estate.
It's the first thing you see. At Judged, considering how long it takes
the site to load, it's sometimes the only thing you see. So why
would we give that spot away to advertise some other website?
Yeah, yeah, thousands of dollars in click-through payments. At Judged, we
are above such mercenary concerns.
And as to this idea that if
people are already on the site, they don't need to have it advertised
for them again - if you're looking at the Judged page, clearly the
first thing you need to know is that Judged is great. I mean, can you
imagine someone happening upon the greatness that is Judged without
adequate preparation by a peach-colored Flash ad? The shock and the wonder
might be too much for their systems. We don't want to take that kind
of chance with your health.
