Jones Day, P.C. - Why such a low rating?
I don't know much about the partnership success rate, but I will say that my personal experience with Jones Day has been very positive, and I have heard fairly consistent positive reports from associates in two of their offices.  Like all firms, there's a basement where the rats can crawl and the Office Space guy can lurk, grasping his stapler, but that's just associate life no matter where you go.

no problem, i scratched it out and will refrain in the future.  i have no problems with editing--i'm not interested in making your website uncomfortable others, and for that i apologize. 

in retrospect, a poor choice.  i was rattling between using the appropriate labels and the non-appropriate labels, and then decided with the latter.  it's an opinion about the misdirection of diversity...the thought process of "let's get one of them...and one of them...and one of them...and one of them..."  it's more like a glass menagerie than diversity at times.  certainly an angering problem for me...but that's only one unintended consequence of diversity programs. 

also, when i was talking about identity, i was talking about work, not this website.  who would care?

I actually support diversity in the group, but firms' best intentions leads to compartmentalizing their minorities and making a parade of them.  Worse yet, despite diversity turns out to be "white" versus "non-white," and that type of diversity seems conjured and unreal.  I think it does a disservice as well to associate development.  

We probably a difference in opinion.  I use pejoratives as nothing brings about the transparent reliance on racial biases than diversity promotions in law firms.
