For clients involved in litigation, or subject to a regulatory inquiry or investigation, the Task Force works seamlessly with the firm’s Litigation Practice Group to efficiently manage all aspects of the e-discovery process.

Troutman Sanders Posts Biggest Gain Among Nation’s Largest Law Firms
Troutman Sanders LLP soared to 74th on the 2007 AmLaw 100, an annual ranking of the nation’s 100 largest law firms by the publishers of American Lawyer magazine.

The law firm’s jump – up nine spots from 83rd on the list in 2006 – represents the largest gain by any law firm in the ranking. The ranking is based on annual revenue, which was a record $307 million at Troutman Sanders in 2006.

By virtue of its 2006 financial performance, Troutman Sanders is now the city’s third-largest law firm in revenue.

Robert Webb Jr., chairman and managing partner of Troutman Sanders, said the firm owes its recent growth to aggressive lateral hiring in all of its offices and its expansion into New York City in 2005, where it obtained 90 attorneys from the law firm of Jenkens & Gilchrist. That office has quickly grown to about 120 attorneys.

“While revenue grew in almost every facet of our practice in 2006, this was the first year we saw the fruits of our entrance into the New York market,” Webb said. “We expect those kinds of exceptional results to continue in New York and elsewhere.”

Troutman Sanders also opened an office in Shanghai, China’s largest city and the world’s eighth largest, in early 2007 – making it the first Atlanta-based law firm with an office in mainland China. The firm has operated an office in Hong Kong for 10 years.

With those additions, Troutman Sanders now operates 12 offices and has more than 600 attorneys throughout the world.
