LGJ Mock Trial Team Wins 2007 New York State Mock Trial Competition in Albany
Kaye Scholer has a partnership with the Bronx School of Law, Government & Justice which includes coaching the school's high school mock trial team. Earlier this month the mock trial team won the New York City Mock Trial Championship defeating Bronx High School of Science.

On May 22, the team won the 2007 New York State Mock Trial Championship, defeating Blind Brook High School from Rye Brook, New York. This victory is especially sweet because the school is still relatively unknown and this was the team's first year competing in the state finals in Albany. The team competed against Vestal High School and Blind Brook High School (the team faced Blind Brook both in the semi-finals and in the final round). The championship round was judged by the Hon. Robert Smith of the New York State Court of Appeals.

The team's professionalism truly speaks to the impact that Kaye Scholer has made on the lives of the seven students involved -- before they even congratulated each other, they congratulated the Blind Brook team on being a tough competitor.

This is a great victory for the team, their school and Kaye Scholer.
