Arent Fox Expands Real Estate Practice
Arent Fox LLP is pleased to announce that Robert E. Falb, Richard B. Nettler, Keith R. Styles and Barbara Wachter Needle – along with four associates – will join its Washington, DC, office as partners on July 1, 2007. These lawyers comprised the Washington real estate and business practice of Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi LLP.

“Robert, Richard, Keith and Barbara will bring new capacity and depth to our already nationally recognized real estate practice,” said Arent Fox Chairman Marc Fleischaker. “This highly regarded group of individuals reinforces the Arent Fox commitment to real estate as a major practice area of the firm. The addition of Falb, Needle, Nettler and Styles will add a zoning capacity to the Arent Fox real estate group and expand the firm’s work in the area of tax and federal properties.”

Falb focuses on the design and structure of complex real estate transactions, particularly from a federal income tax perspective. Nettler’s practice centers on complex land use and zoning matters, historic preservation and conservation easements and the disposition and redevelopment of federal properties nationally and locally, as well as mixed use developments, retail, office and multifamily asset classes. Styles advises clients on business and project finance, mergers and acquisitions, and general business counseling. Needle’s practice includes real estate transactions and leasing.

Arent Fox represents clients in all types of acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, construction and financing projects. Clients include large institutional investors, investment banks, real estate investment trusts, pension funds, private equity groups, construction companies, asset and property managers, landlords, and tenants and developers. Notable clients include Washington Real Estate Investment Trust, RLJ Companies and Quadrangle Development.

Lee Reid Selected for Fellowship in Louisiana Bar Foundation
Lee Reid, a partner in the New Orleans office of Adams and Reese, has been named a Fellow of the Louisiana Bar Foundation. Fellowship consists of judges, lawyers, and law professors who have demonstrated dedication in upholding the Louisiana Bar Foundation's mission to preserve, honor, and improve the justice system by funding, developing and promoting efforts which enhance the legal profession, increase public understanding of the legal system and advance the reality of equal justice under the law.

Reid practices in the firm's Litigation Practice Group, encompassing a wide range of subject matters including: contractual disputes, matters involving antitrust, unfair competition and trade practices, general business disputes, class action and individual toxic tort and environmental claims. He also has experience in energy and marine related matters, including litigation, drafting and negotiation of energy and marine contracts. Mr. Reid's experience also includes general business services such as general contractual drafting and negotiation, corporate governance issues and general business advice.

In 2003, Reid took a leave of absence from Adams and Reese to serve as Special Assistant to the General Counsel for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) during the investigation into the Columbia Shuttle Disaster. He played an instrumental role in aiding the Agency during the investigation, where he worked assessing the legal needs of the Agency, formulating timely and workable response plans and meeting with search teams and governmental representatives from the debris fields in Hemphill, Texas to Washington, D.C. Reid's efforts led to a "by-name" appointment to the Return to Flight Implementation Team, and he was awarded the NASA Astronaut's Personal Achievement Award, the "Silver Snoopy", in recognition of this work.

Reid formerly served as President of the Young Leadership Council, an organization of over 1,400 members, who create, run, fund, and oversee on-going community service projects in the New Orleans metro area. He formerly served as Vice President of Projects, and General Counsel of the Executive Committee. Reid also serves on the Board of Directors for Partners for Stennis and is the Adams and Reese liason to the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the New Orleans, Louisiana, American and Federal Bar Associations.

Reid received both his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans. Reid was a member of Loyola Law Review in law school. He served as President of Loyola's student body (1996-1997). While in law school, Reid was selected to the Order of the Barristers for excellence in oral and written advocacy; awarded the "Frederick Gisevius, Jr. Award" for excellence in oral advocacy; elected chairman of the Moot Court Board; chosen as "Loyola Law Review Member of the Year 1998-99;" and named one of "Loyola's Most Influential Students 1998-99.

Wolf Haldenstein Announces Final Approval of Settlement of Bamboo Partners LLC v. The Robert Mondavi
The Superior Court of California, County of Napa, granted final approval of the settlement of the class action lawsuit captioned, Bamboo Partners LLC v. The Robert Mondavi Corp., et al., Case No. 26-27170. The law firms of Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman and Herz LLP and Milberg Weiss Bershad & Schulman LLP represented the Class as Co-Lead Counsel. Pursuant to the Settlement, Constellation Brands, Inc. (“Constellation”) has established a Settlement Fund for the benefit of the Class in the amount of $10,800,000.00. Within thirty days after Final Court approval (as defined in the Stipulation of Settlement), Constellation, on behalf of the Defendants, will distribute the Settlement Fund to members of the class.

The Settlement resolves claims that were filed against The Robert Mondavi Corporation (“Mondavi”) and Constellation in October, 2004. The Action was filed on behalf of all Mondavi common stockholders, other than defendants, in connection with the Company’s restructuring plan and the tender offer by Constellation for all of all of the outstanding shares of Mondavi’s class A common stock.

Media Advisory: Eileen O’Connor, Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department’s Tax Division, to Join Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP is pleased to announce that Eileen J. O'Connor, Assistant Attorney General for the Justice Department's Tax Division, will be joining the firm as a partner in our Washington, DC office, where she will serve as the leader of the newly created Federal Tax Controversy and Tax Policy team.

President Bush nominated Ms. O’Connor to the position on May 24, 2001, and the Senate confirmed her appointment in July of that year. As Assistant Attorney General for the Tax Division, Ms. O’Connor has been a member of the President’s Corporate Fraud Task Force.

The Department of Justice announced her resignation earlier today, in which Attorney General Alberto Gonzales said of her, “Lee O’Connor has served the Department of Justice and the American people with distinction and honor. For six years, she has been tireless in her enforcement of the nation's tax laws, particularly in prosecuting tax fraud. Her success in this and other areas have been a credit to the Tax Division and a tremendous benefit to the United States. I am grateful for her service and wish her well.”

Ms. O'Connor will begin her new position at Pillsbury on July 1st. A formal press release regarding her new practice at Pillsbury will be issued in a few weeks.

Gary S. Betensky named to the Board of Directors of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the American Jewish Committee
Shareholder Gary S. Betensky has been named to the Board of Directors of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the American Jewish Committee (AJC).

AJC (www.ajc.org) was established in 1906 in an effort to protect the welfare and security of Jews worldwide, combat anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, and promote democratic values. The organization currently operates from 33 offices in the United States and 8 international locations.

Betensky maintains a civil trial, business litigation and appellate practice concentrating in complex commercial litigation and business disputes, with extensive experience in matters related to non-competition agreements and trade secrets, real estate, employment, disability insurance and torts.

Betensky’s affiliations include the Anti-Defamation League, where he previously served as a National Commissioner, Chairman of the Florida Regional Board and Chair of the Broward County Civil Rights Committee. He is also a graduate of Leadership Broward County, a premier development program in which local community leaders gain insightful knowledge about the county and build a valuable contact network. Betensky is currently a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association and the Palm Beach County Bar Association. He serves on the Professional Ethics Committee of the Florida Bar and is a member of the Board of Governors of Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center.

A resident of Boca Raton, Betensky received his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University and his Bachelor of Science in Public Communication from Boston University. He is admitted to practice in all state courts of Florida, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
