Firm Launches Insurance & Reinsurance Blog "InsureReinsure.com" and adds RSS Feature to Website
Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP is pleased to announce the launch of InsureReinsure.com, an Insurance & Reinsurance Industry Blog, and the addition of Real Simple Syndication (RSS) functionality to their website.

“Blogs and RSS feeds enable firms to deliver valuable information to their clients and potential clients in a faster and more targeted fashion” notes Jason Parkman, VP/General Manager of Hubbard One, a Thomson Elite business. “By taking advantage of these new technologies, progressive firms like Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP have a point of difference and competitive edge.”

Very few AmLaw 100 law firms are hosting blogs, according to research conducted by Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge.

The firm’s blog, InsureReinsure.com is a collaborative effort from members of Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge’s Insurance & Reinsurance Department who are dedicated to creating a single forum for industry trends and all-important developments about the insurance and reinsurance industry. The goal is to become a one-stop news source for those interested in all aspects of the insurance & reinsurance industry, including insurance coverage developments in the areas of Directors & Officers liability, Life & Health, and Property & Casualty (including bad faith, Hurricane Katrina, and other coverage issues), reinsurance developments (including posts about arbitrations, follow the fortunes, insolvency and other reinsurance issues), regulatory developments (including developments on the state level and national level that implicate the industry, as well as developments involving the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, life settlements, viaticals and health insurance) as well as transactional developments (including reporting on significant mergers and acquisitions and consolidation in the industry).

“One of the things that all the members in the Insurance & Reinsurance Department take pride in -- and, I believe, rightfully so -- is that we are knowledgeable about all aspects of the Insurance and Reinsurance industry and that we follow all of the important industry developments, many of which we have first-hand knowledge about,” said Brian Green, blog administrator and the Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge attorney responsible for the creation of InsureReinsure.com. “We realized that we could exploit this knowledge and take it to the next level, and what better place is there to do that than the blogosphere? Hence, InsureReinsure.com.”

Also added to the firm’s website is an RSS feature. This function will provide subscribers with updates on news, publications and blog postings added to the firm’s website. These feeds include headlines and summaries of publications in an XML format which link back to the full articles on the firm’s website or blog.
