Tripp Haston to Speak At The Inaugural Meeting at the British Institute
Bradley Arant Rose & White LLP partner Tripp Haston will speak at the inaugural meeting at the British Institute's offices on Russell Square in London, England on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. The meeting is hosted by the International Association of Defense Counsel and the British Institute of International & Comparative Law. Mr. Haston will chair a program entitled: "An EU/US Roundtable Perspective on Current Issues in Pharmaceutical Litigation - Insurance, Corporate & Private Outside Counsel." Mr. Haston is a member of both organizations and is an officer of the International Association of Defense Counsel.

Tripp Haston to Speak at the British Institute for International & Comparative Law's Annual Conference
Birmingham, AL - Bradley Arant Rose & White LLP partner Tripp Haston will speak at the British Institute for International & Comparative Law's annual conference in London, England on Thursday, June 7, 2007. Mr. Haston will present one of the keynote speeches on Regulation & Product Liability together with a representative of the U.S. Department of Justice and private counsel from England and Germany. This year's conference will focus on the broad theme of "Product Liability and Mass Torts in a Global Marketplace", bringing together leading American and European speakers from practice, policy and academia. Issues covered include the recent developments in product liability litigation in Europe and the US, the introduction of group actions in Europe, the pre-emption debate in the U.S and European comparisons, the development of US style discovery around the world (including e-Discovery), as well as a consideration of multi-party claims in financial services and the environmental sphere.

Blackwell Sanders Hires Environmental Attorney
Blackwell Sanders welcomes Shomari L. Benton to the firm’s Kansas City office. He joins the Litigation Department as an associate and will practice in the area of environment, natural resources and water.

Prior to joining Blackwell Sanders, Benton was an associate at a local law firm (2005-2007). His past focus and experience includes commercial real estate issues and land use development financing issues. Currently, Benton has represented clients in various real estate, land use development, and municipality related matters.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri at Columbia School of Law (2005), where he was an associate member of the Missouri Environmental Law and Policy Review Journal and the vice president of the Black Law Student Association. Benton also received his B.S. from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

20 Chadbourne Lawyers Recognized as Leaders in Chambers USA 2007 Guide
America’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2007 guide has recognized lawyers in all four of Chadbourne & Parke LLP’s offices in the United States. The New York and Washington, DC offices, the Firm’s two largest offices, did especially well in the rankings. Overall, 20 Chadbourne lawyers were cited in their respective fields.

Chadbourne practices had national rankings in the Projects, Latin American Investment, Energy: Electricity and Products Liability categories. Six individual lawyers were recognized nationally.

Other Chadbourne practices and lawyers were also honored on a regional basis.
