Pauline Morgan Elected Chair of DSBA Bankruptcy Section
Pauline K. Morgan, a partner in the Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring Section of Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP, has been unanimously elected as Chair of the Delaware State Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Section.

Ms. Morgan, who has represented debtors, creditors committees and secured lenders in some of the nation's largest cases, has been recognized by Chambers USA as a leading bankruptcy practitioner and was also recently identified as one of Delaware’s top attorneys in Philadelphia Magazine’s Super Lawyer Section. She is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and also serves on Delaware’s District Court Advisory Committee. Ms. Morgan is based at Young Conaway’s headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, but also serves as managing partner for the firm’s New York office. She earned her J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1987.

The 280-member Bankruptcy Section of the DSBA is comprised of attorneys who practice bankruptcy law, both business and consumer, as well as Delaware’s six bankruptcy judges. The Section was established to promote the professional development and interests of its members. Ms. Morgan’s term as Chair will run through June 30, 2008.

Willoughby Elected into College of Labor & Employment Lawyers
Barry M. Willoughby, a partner in, and chair of, the Employment Law Section of Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP, has been elected a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.

Willoughby joins Young Conaway partner, Sheldon N. Sandler, as the only other Delaware attorney to receive the distinguished honor. Election as a Fellow is by invitation only and represents the recognition by colleagues that an attorney has sustained outstanding performance in the profession, exemplifying integrity, dedication and excellence.

Mr. Willoughby, who serves as a member of the firm’s Management Committee, has achieved an "A" rating in Martindale-Hubbell. He is consistently recognized in Chambers USA, Who's Who Legal USA - Management Labour & Employment 2006, The Best Lawyers in America, and Super Lawyers as a leading management labor and employment law attorney. In surveys of Delaware lawyers published by Delaware Today magazine, he was named one of Delaware's top labor lawyers.

Mr. Willoughby is a Former Chair of the Delaware State Bar Association Employment Law Section and a member of the American Bar Association, the Delaware Council of School Board Attorneys and the Defense Research Institute, an organization representing the interests of defendants in litigation matters. He serves as Pro Bono General Counsel for United Way of Delaware, Inc. and Junior Achievement of Delaware, Inc.

The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, headquartered in Washington, D.C., was founded in 1995. It is a non-profit professional association honoring the leading lawyers nationwide in the practice of labor and employment law. The goals of the College are to promote achievement, advancement and excellence in the practice of labor and employment law. Durbin Joins Sands Anderson’s Blacksburg Office
"Attorney Stephen V. Durbin of Chesapeake has joined the Local Government law practice at the Blacksburg location of Sands Anderson Marks & Miller, James E. Cornwell managing shareholder of the New River Valley office, announced this week.

“We’re fortunate to be able to add Stephen’s expertise and strong litigation skills on our team of business and local government attorneys,” said Cornwell. The New River Valley office has ten attorneys in diverse areas of practice including business, employment, finance, healthcare, litigation, real estate, risk management, workers’ compensation and local government.

Durbin graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and a minor in Political Science. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from William and Mary School of Law in 2005. Durbin previously worked as an Associate Attorney for the law firm of Roy, Larsen, Romm & Lascara, P.C. in Chesapeake, Virginia and represented clients in a wide range of litigation matters, including commercial litigation, contracts, will contests, personal injury and medical malpractice.

While attending law school, Durbin worked as a Research Assistant for the National Center for State Courts. He also interned for the United States Army, Judge Advocate General in San Antonio, Texas."

David K. Meyercord Returns to Strasburger
Strasburger & Price, LLP, proudly welcomes David K. Meyercord back to the firm as Of Counsel in the Corporate and Securities practice group of the firm's Dallas office.

Mr. Meyercord counsels clients in the area of business and securities law, including the organization of business entities, securities offerings and regulation, financing transactions, acquisitions and divestitures, commercial contractual transactions, and corporate governance. Meyercord rejoins Strasburger from Horizon Health Corporation where he served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel.

Before joining Horizon, Mr. Meyercord served as Chairman of Strasburger's Policy Committee from 1990-1998.

"David was a valued partner and leader of our firm for more than 30 years before he accepted his position with Horizon. As General Counsel at Horizon, we also had the opportunity to work with him as a client, advising Horizon on all manner of its corporate transactions.
