John B. Reynolds III Named to Select List of the Nation’s CFIUS Experts
Wiley Rein partner John B. Reynolds III, a member of the firm’s International Trade and Government Affairs practices, has been ranked by Chambers USA as being “at the forefront of one of the most cutting-edge areas of international trade,” Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States (CFIUS) work.

In spotlighting CFIUS practitioners, Chambers notes the increasing importance of this area of international trade. “The politicization of the process of foreign investment in the USA—concomitant with the fact that there is more of this investment than ever before—has made it a hot area,” the publisher reports.

Mr. Reynolds, who is “deemed a leader in CFIUS matters,” has extensive experience handling international transactions that include a national security component , especially those involving clearance under the Exon-Florio Amendment or the negotiation of network security agreeements. Chambers has rated him in the top-tier of international trade attorneys, calling him the “star of Wiley Rein’s highly rated export controls and economic sanctions team.” He has worked on CFIUS-related transactions since the Exon-Florio Amendment was first enacted.

The Chambers ratings are based on extensive interviews of law firms’ clients, colleagues and competitors. Inclusion in the directory is determined through a rigorous vetting process whereby Chambers researchers evaluate law firms and attorneys on a number of factors.
