Holland & Hart Foundation Wins Innovaction Award
The Holland & Hart Foundation is a winner of this year's College of Law Practice Management InnovAction Awards. The Foundation's award is one of only four that were announced yesterday for innovative efforts in legal services.

"The InnovAction judges determined that the creative and successful use of the Foundation for both community and firm benefits is exactly the type of innovation and implementation the InnovAction Awards are designed to recognize," said InnovAction Chair Charles Coulter in a letter to the Foundation.

"Innovation is one of our core firm principles. Holland & Hart is constantly seeking new ways to provide excellent client service and to add value to our communities," said firm Chairman Paul Phillips. "As recognized by this award, the Holland & Hart Foundation helps all of us live our principles and strengthen our commitments to one another and the community."

Holland & Hart LLP formed the Holland & Hart Foundation nearly 10 years ago with the goal to build relationships between attorneys and staff, and between offices and practices within the firm. It acts as the “heart” of Holland & Hart by creating opportunities for attorneys and staff to work side-by-side in the firm's communities. As the first of its kind and a model to other firms, this unique institution enables and empowers Holland & Hart volunteers to make worthwhile contributions to the community, and to get to know each other in the process.

“To be acknowledged internationally for the innovative work of the Foundation is a testament to our volunteer’s leadership, dedication, and countless hours of time and energy,” said President of the Foundation Bob Connery. “This award recognizes not only the thousands of individuals, families, and organizations we’ve helped, but also the caring community it has created with Holland & Hart.”
In celebration of the firm's 60th anniversary, Holland & Hart recently presented a $100,000 grant to the Foundation that will be used throughout the firm's 13 offices to foster education, hunger and homelessness projects, with an emphasis on the needs of children. Each office and individual has also been challenged to match the gift through either time or additional financial support in order to double the total contribution from the firm and Foundation.

The InnovAction award honoring the Foundation will be presented to Connery on September 8, 2007, at the College's annual meeting in Philadelphia, Penn.

The InnovAction Awards is an annual worldwide search for lawyers, law firms, and other deliverers of legal services who are engaged in effective innovation and ingenuity. The awards are presented by the College of Law Practice Management, an honorary world-wide organization that recognizes excellence in law practice management.
