Maslon ranked among top 10 best Minnesota law firms in litigation by Chambers USA
Maslon is ranked in the top 10 among the best law firms for litigation in Minnesota, according to international legal publisher Chambers & Partners, in its 2006 Chambers USA , America's Leading Lawyers for Business. Maslon attorneys William Pentelovitch, David Herr and Richard Wilson were listed as leaders in Minnesota for Commercial Litigation and Herr was listed as the only Minnesota attorney ranked for his appellate expertise.

Chambers 2006 writes that Maslon ""attorneys are said to 'hone in quickly on the issues,' with one client describing them as 'the best at cross-examination I have seen.'"" This highly respected publication spends six months doing independent surveys, interviewing clients, peer lawyers and judges to determine its rankings.

William Pentelovitch, who is listed as one of the top seven business litigators, is sought after for his skill in non-compete cases and competitive practice and trade secrets disputes, and has developed an expertise assisting life science companies. Chambers describes Pentelovitch as ""a 'terrific strategist' who 'sees the big picture.'""

David Herr heads the firm's appellate practice and is ""renowned as 'one of the top appellate lawyers in the Eighth Circuit'"" for his class action and complex litigation experience and publications, according to Chambers 2006 .

Richard Wilson, who has developed an expertise representing clients in business disputes, is rated for his ability to ""present complicated legal arguments simply"" which makes makes him ""one of the best at cross-examination,"" Chambers 2006 writes.

Over the past decade, Chambers and Partners has gained a reputation for independent reporting of market opinions on legal service providers. It began in Europe and expanded coverage to include the United States in 2003.

Kulahjian Named Chairperson Of American Diabetes Association Tucson Leadership Council

KWG&D Announces Scholarship Awards
The Law Firm of Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. is pleased to announce that its annual “Samuel Krugliak Legal Student Scholarship” has been awarded to Canton residents: Larry L. Lanham, Jr. and Gregory W. Watts.

“Both Larry and Gregory represent the qualities and characteristics exemplified by our late founding attorney, Sam Krugliak, for whom this annual scholarship honors,” said John M. Tucker, chairman of the firm’s Scholarship Committee. “We believe their exceptional academic achievements along with their commitment to return to our community after graduation are commendable.” The 2006-2007 annual scholarship was available to current law school students with strong academic credentials, demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities, and a desire to return to the Stark County region to practice law.
Lanham received a B.A. Degree in Political Science, cum laude, from Kent State University where he received the Distinguished Senior Leadership Award. He currently attends law school at The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law in Columbus. Also, Lanham is a past recipient of the Mayor’s Citation, City of Canton award.

Watts is a graduate of the University of Akron where he earned a B.S. Degree in Political Science/Criminal Justice and a B.A. Degree in Psychology and was a member of the University of Akron Honors Program, as well as the Golden Key International Honour Society. He attends law school at The University of Akron School of Law where he serves on the Executive Board of the Akron Law Review, and is a recipient of the CALI ® Award for academic excellence in Individual Taxation, Constitutional Law I, and Evidence.

GrayRobinson Nationally Ranked Sixth Highest Underwriter's Counsel for Municipal Bond Issues
GrayRobinson's public finance team is the sixth highest ranked law firm among the nation's top underwriters' counsel for municipal bonds issued for the first six months of 2006 according to rankings recently published by Thomson Financial.
