WK&G s Tim Blue Judges 2006 Miss Indiana Scholarship Pageant
Tim Blue, member and trial lawyer in Williams, Kastner & Gibbs PLLC's Seattle office, who was born and raised in Indiana, was in his home state June 21-24 serving as one of five judges for this year's Miss Indiana Scholarship Pageant. The event, which sends its winner to the Miss America Scholarship Pageant, involved 27 contestants. The event was held at the Zionsville Performing Arts Center in the small town of Zionsville, outside Indianapolis.

The new Miss Indiana, Betsy Uschkrat, is a graduate student and vocal/opera major at Indiana University's world renown Jacob's School of Music. The pageant, those leading up to it, and the Miss America Pageant itself, annually award thousands of dollars in educational scholarships and grants to hundreds of deserving young women.

Blue specializes in defense of product liability, professional liability and other tort cases, and has represented individuals and major companies in cases pending throughout the Pacific Northwest and as National Coordinating and Trial counsel.

WFW advises Bolloré Telecom on launch of French WiMAX Radio Licenses
Watson, Farley & Williams (WFW) is delighted to announce the successful conclusion for Bolloré Telecom, in receiving 12 of the 22 licences on offer by the French Government, for the distribution of WiMax/Boucle Locale Radio licences.

Our client received the largest number of these licences including those for the regions of Aquitaine, Ile de France, Languedoc Roussillon, Midi -Pyrénées, Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur and Rhône Alpes. Bolloré Télécom is a consortium composed of Bolloré SA (85%), the operator Hub Telecom (10%), a subsidiary of the Aéroports of Paris, and the broadcaster Antalis TV (5%).

Watson, Farley & Williams (Lucien Rapp, Mathieu Gaudemet and Romain Perray) acted as Bolloré télécom’s legal advisers with Polyconseil, (Marc Taieb and Jean Baptiste de Chavanne) as its technical advisers.

Leading the transaction for WFW, Lucien Rapp, commented “This is a major success for our client and will ensure broadband availability throughout France. This is one of the first large scale roll outs of WiMAX applications in the world and underscores the leading telecoms capability within the firm.

Salans advises Initiatives & Développements on its listing on Alternext
The International law firm Salans advised Initiatives & Développements, a company specializing in marketing services for companies in the context of the listing of its shares for direct trading (cotation directe) on Alternext.

The operation covered a total amount collected of 5.1 million euros. More than 20 French and foreign funds became shareholders in Initiatives & Développements.
The first trading took place on July 19, 2006.

Initiatives & Développements (I&D), a company founded in 2002, is a services integrator which offers negotiated services for defined target groups. It offers marketing solutions adapted to corporate clients to optimize their client relations (prospecting, customer loyalty, communication).
