Fox Rothschild’s Merger with Binder, Kalis & Proctor, P.C. Highlighted in The Legal Intelligencer
Partners Mark Silow and Stephen Kalis recently discussed Fox’s recent merger with Binder, Kalis & Proctor, P.C. in “Fox Rothschild Still on a Merger Tear,” by Hank Grezlak, which appeared in the August 3, 2007, edition of The Legal Intelligencer. Binder, Kalis & Proctor, P.C. Join Fox Rothschild LLP
Fox Rothschild LLP today announced that it has merged with the Pottstown, Pennsylvania law firm Binder, Kalis & Proctor, P.C. The merger increases Fox Rothschild’s presence in western Montgomery County and northern Chester County, and strengthens a number of the firm’s practice areas.

"Binder is the oldest, continuously existing law firm in the area – and they bring strong experience to the firm,” said Mark Silow, Fox Rothschild’s Administrative Partner and Chief Operating Officer. “By adding their history to our own, and enhancing Fox’s practice with Binder’s emphasis in corporate/business matters, municipal law, land use/real estate development and estate planning/administration, we not only expand our talent pool, but add to our ability to provide a wider variety of services to our clients in Montgomery and Chester counties.”

Attorney Howard E. Kalis, III will join Fox’s Tax & Estates practice as a partner, while attorneys Stephen H. Kalis and Steven J. Proctor will join the Real Estate practice as partner and special counsel, respectively. They will maintain their current offices at 1035 East High Street in Pottstown, and also will work out of Fox Rothschild’s Chester County office at 747 Constitution Drive in Exton.

“Our firm has always been selective regarding the areas of law in which we practice and with regard to the clients we represent,” said Stephen Kalis, name partner with the firm. “We have taken that same sense of selectiveness into consideration with our decision to join with Fox Rothschild. Fox offers us the perfect combination: we will continue to provide all of our clients with the same prompt and thorough attention that we always have – but now we will be able to provide new additional services and support as well. That’s what make this the right move for us.”

The merger offers Binder, Kalis & Proctor, P.C. the opportunity to enhance the services they currently provide to clients, and will enable the firm to grow its current practice areas and client base with the aid and experience of more than 400 Fox attorneys practicing in over 40 different practice areas.

The merger continues a pattern of unprecedented growth for Fox. In addition to Binder, Kalis & Proctor, P.C., Fox’s recent mergers include Goldman and Kramer; Young, Moriwaki and Greenfader LLP; and MillerMitchell P.C.
