Winthrop & Weinstine Named 'Great Place to Work' by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal

Attorney Monica S. Singh Joins Preti Flaherty’s Concord Office
Preti Flaherty today announced that Monica S. Singh has joined their Concord office as an associate and will practice with the Business Law Practice Group.

Prior to joining the firm, Singh worked as an Education Program Coordinator with the Massachusetts Bar Association. She was also a legal intern with WCVB-TV Channel 5 in Needham, MA and for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. While still in law school, she worked as a summer associate at Sugarman, Rogers, Barshak and Cohen, P.C. in Boston, MA.

Singh is a 2005 graduate of Suffolk University Law School where she was a staff member of the Suffolk Transnational Law Review. She is a 2000 graduate of University of Missouri-Kansas City. Monica is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She is a resident of Nashua, NH.

Matthew R. Osenga Joins Williams Mullen Intellectual Property Team
Matthew R. Osenga has joined Williams Mullen an associate in the firm's Technology, Intellectual Property and Entertainment Section. His practice focuses on intellectual property matters, including patent litigation and prosecution, as well as invalidity and non-infringement opinions. Mr. Osenga is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Illinois and Virginia. He is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Mr. Osenga received a B.S.E. in chemical engineering in 1997 from the University of Michigan and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois in 2000.

PA Supreme Court Appoints Carl D. Buchholz, III to the Disciplinary Board
Rawle & Henderson LLP is pleased to announce that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has appointed Carl D. Buchholz, III, a partner of the Firm’s Philadelphia office, a Member of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania for a three year term.

The Disciplinary Board was created by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to review conduct and assure compliance by all attorneys to the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct. The Disciplinary Board's goals are to protect the general public, to maintain a high standard of integrity in the legal profession, and to safeguard the reputation of the courts of Pennsylvania. The Board is comprised of 14 attorneys and two non-lawyers from across Pennsylvania, who meet regularly to review and decide cases, policy and Board administrative matters.

Carl D. Buchholz, III is a senior partner at Rawle & Henderson. He has over thirty years experience trying civil cases in both state and federal courts. Mr. Buchholz graduated from Villanova Law School where he was an editor of the Villanova Law Review and graduated with honors. His litigation practice has included representing shipowners in lawsuits by passengers, seamen, and longshoremen; representing hotel owners and operators in defense of slip and fall, liquor liability, food born illness, and lack of security claims; and representing railroad operators in third party lawsuits by railroad employees.

Luce Forward Expands International Practice With Addition of Attorney Lizbeth H. Flores
Attorney Lizbeth H. Flores has joined Luce Forward as a member of the firm's growing Mexico Practice. She will be located in Luce Forward's San Diego office.

Flores, who is licensed to practice law in California, New York and Mexico, will specialize in cross-border transactional work for the firm's U.S. and Mexico-based clients.

Edward M. Waller, Jr. is Certified as Mediator in Federal and State Courts
Edward M. Waller, Jr., a shareholder with the law firm of Fowler White Boggs Banker, has been certified by the Supreme Court of Florida and the United States District Court Middle District of Florida as a mediator in civil cases in state and federal courts. Mr. Waller is head of the firm’s Class Action/Complex Litigation Team and a member of the firm’s Health Care Practice Group. He served as head of the firm’s Business Litigation Department for 18 years.

He served as a member of the Executive Committee and the Council of the Litigation Section of the ABA and national chair of its Commercial and Business Litigation Committee.
