Seyfarth Shaw Adds Mary H. Fragola as Partner to Employee Benefits Practice Group
Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of America’s leading full service law firms, announced that Mary H. Fragola has joined the firm’s Employee Benefits Practice Group as partner in its New York office. She was previously senior counsel at International Paper Company in Stamford, CT.

Fragola has extensive experience with employee issues and has provided legal counsel on all executive compensation matters, including incentive programs, employment, retention and termination arrangements. She has also dealt extensively with the handling of those issues in mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings.

“Mary is an accomplished attorney in employee matters,” noted Peter C. Miller, chair of the firm’s Employee Benefits Group. “Her deep expertise in labor and corporate governance issues involving complex executive compensation matters and strong client skills make her a tremendous asset to our growing national practice.”

Seyfarth Shaw Welcomes Nanette C. Heide to Expanding Corporate and Finance Practice
Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of America’s leading full service law firms, announced that Nanette C. Heide has joined the firm as a partner in its Corporate and Finance practice; she is resident in the New York office. She was previously with Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP.

Heide has represented both companies and investors in venture capital transactions, including fund formation and investment activity, strategic investments, private placements of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, secured and unsecured debt financing, and business reorganizations and restructurings. She has also advised public companies on reporting compliance and other federal and state securities laws and regulation requirements.

She earned her J.D. from Washington and Lee School of Law, where she was class president and editor-in-chief of the school’s newspaper.

Leonard, Street and Deinard named top real estate firm in Minnesota by Chambers USA
Leonard, Street and Deinard has been ranked among the No. 1 real estate firms in Minnesota by Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Business Lawyers 2006.

The firm also was specifically recognized for its business and commercial litigation, employment and corporate practices.

Wei Gao Joins Dykema As International Legal Analyst
Dykema, a premier Midwest-based law firm, today announced the addition of Wei Gao as an International Legal Analyst in the International Practice Group. Gao, formerly In-house Counsel at Ford Motor (China), Ltd. will be based in the Detroit office.
Dykema attorneys advise domestic and foreign-based companies and institutions on a wide variety of business issues including corporate governance, growth strategies, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, licensing and risk reduction, regulatory compliance, international trade, and e-commerce. In her newly created role, Gao will add further depth to the International Practice.

The addition of Gao comes just months after Richard G. Goetz joined Dykema as leader of its International Practice Group. Goetz, formerly Associate General Counsel-International at Ford Motor Company, has been developing and leading the new interdisciplinary practice group which assists nationally- and internationally-based clients with both inbound and outbound transactions.

Wei worked as an in-house lawyer at Ford Motor (China) Ltd. in Beijing and Shanghai from 2003 until 2005. At Ford, Wei provided legal direction for the restructuring of Ford’s China distribution network and advised its sourcing office during a multi-billion dollar expansion of Ford’s purchasing commitments in China. Prior to joining Ford, Wei served in the British Embassy Beijing as a project officer at its Legal Reform Section where she was responsible for informing British diplomats of Chinese legal reforms and organizing Sino-British legal exchange programs.

From 1999 until 2001, Wei was an Assistant Consultant in the Management Consulting Department of KPMG, Shanghai. In that capacity, she researched legal issues related to the establishment and operations of wholly owned foreign enterprise and joint venture in China.

Gao earned a LL.M. from the University of Michigan in 2006, and a LL.B from East China University of Politics and Law, Shanghai in 1999.
