Patton Boggs Hosts Luncheon for Qatar Financial Centre
Patton Boggs LLP recently hosted the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) for an informative networking luncheon held at the firm on October 30. The purpose of the gathering was to introduce the Financial Centre to potential U.S. investors, to discuss its dynamic growth since its launch in 2005, and to explore opportunities open to financial institutions and investment funds through the Centre, in Qatar, and in the greater Gulf region.

Al-Khalifa, attended the lunch and introduced featured speakers from the QFC, including Stuart Pearce, Chief Executive Officer and Director General of the Qatar Financial Centre Authority, and Phillip Thorpe, Chairman and Director of the Board of the QFC Regulatory Authority. Several representatives of U.S. based private equity funds were in attendance.
