Nutter ranked first in Boston and second in the country in The American Lawyer’s 2006 Summer Associate Survey
Nutter ranked first in Boston and second in the country in The American Lawyer’s 2006 Summer Associate Survey. Nutter scored 4.947 out of a possible 5 points to achieve first rank in Boston. This news complements The American Lawyer’s annual survey of midlevel associates, in which Nutter has ranked in the top five firms in the country for two years in a row.

Alex Glovsky, partner and chair of the firm’s Hiring Committee, is quoted in an accompanying article, “The Real World: Summer associates of 2006 wonder what life will be like when the party's over.” He notes that the firm wants summer associates to appreciate that our associates are happy. The American Lawyer points out that this fact was not lost on Nutter’s summer associates, who described the firm as “the best-kept secret in Boston.”

The rankings are based on feedback from more than 6,700 law school students, each of whom worked at least three weeks at one of the 172 firms surveyed.

Scores are based on nine key areas relating to their internships, including the interest level of the work and how much of it was "real," the training and guidance, interactions with partners and full-time associates, how well the firm communicated its goals, how accurately it portrayed itself in interviews, how it rated overall as a place to work, and the respondents' inclination to accept a job if one were offered.

Land Use practice launches interactive map of representative experience
The firm’s Land Use, Permitting and Development practice recently launched an interactive online map to demonstrate the group’s extensive real estate and land use experience in Massachusetts.

The map of Massachusetts shows a representative sample of the real estate transactions, leasing and land use matters that Nutter has handled. The state is divided into four regions: Eastern Mass, Western Mass, Downtown Boston and the Cape. While viewing the map of each region, the user is able to rollover a marker and read how Nutter assisted the client.

In addition, the group selected over forty projects collectively to highlight. An individual web page for each of these projects includes a detailed description and photograph.
