Kennedy Covington No. 1 Fastest Growing Law Firm in Triangle
Kennedy Covington is the No. 1 fastest growing law firm in the Triangle, according to the August 24th edition of the Triangle Business Journal.

The publication, which collected and compared data from all area law firms, reported Kennedy Covington experienced the most significant growth - a tremendous 231 percent over the past five years in its Raleigh and Durham/RTP offices. These two offices currently boast a combined 52 attorneys. The firm's other offices in Charlotte, Rock Hill and Columbia account for an additional 163 attorneys.

"We are focused on recruiting top notch legal talent," says Kent Christison, partner-in-charge of Kennedy Covington's Raleigh and Durham/RTP offices. "We actively recruit both entry level and lateral attorneys, who exhibit a strong work ethic and reflect the culture and values on which the firm was founded."

According to Christison, recent growth areas for the Triangle offices have been health law and real estate. He expects both areas to remain strong, although he doesn't take any of the firm's recent success for granted.

"Every day, we ask ourselves how we can better serve our clients today and in the future," says Christison. "We have no room for complacency when it comes to taking care of our clients and their business."

In order to support its attorney growth, Kennedy Covington has added 22 staff members in the Triangle over the past several years. Additional attorney and staff growth is on the horizon. An expansion currently underway in the firm's Durham/RTP office will allow for it to double in size in the coming years.
