Bryan Cave LLP

New London Partner Expands Firm's Corporate Finance, Transactions Capabilities
Robert Wieder has joined the international law firm Bryan Cave LLP as a partner in its London office. He is moving from Field Fisher Waterhouse’s Corporate Group.

Wieder has wide-ranging experience in corporate, corporate finance and financial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, fund raising, AIM admissions, corporate advice and strategies, project agreements, joint ventures, commercial agreements, banking and the establishment of corporate structures and investments.

He received his LLB, with honors, from Victoria University of Manchester in 1979.

Last week, Bryan Cave announced an increase in its London office’s turnover of more than 22 percent for last year, with revenue per lawyer in excess of £500,000. Managing Partner Anthony Fiducia said the firm had 30 fee earners and expected to increase that number to 36 by the end of the year. The appointment of Wieder puts the number of partners in the firm’s London office at eight.

Mack is a member of Articles Nexis task force that will prepare the Connecticut version of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Public Health Emergency Law Training course. This course has been developed primarily for public officials in community, state and federal agencies who are responsible for responding to public health emergencies so that they will have a better understanding of what actions are authorized and how to minimize liabilities in large-scale public health emergencies.

Mr. Mack provides legal counsel to health care providers and facilities on a full range of transactional and regulatory health law issues. Mr. Mack lectures and has written articles on medical-legal issues and ethics and sits on area hospital ethics committees.
