Allison M. Bisig Joins Keating Muething & Klekamp
Allison M. Bisig has joined Keating Muething & Klekamp (KMK) as an associate in the real estate practice group.

Prior to joining KMK, Ms. Bisig worked as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office. She received her J.D. from the Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law (2006) and her B.A. from the University of Dayton (2003).

Edward Small, a partner in the Regulatory and Legislative section of Jackson Walker L.L.P., will speak at the Barnett Shale Breakfast Symposium, presented by the Fort Worth Business Press, on Friday, March 30, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. Mr. Small's topic is "Whose Water Is It – The Surface Owner's, the Mineral Owner's, and How is it Regulated?" Mr. Small's extensive litigation experience includes water rights, boundary issues, condemnation, oil and gas, and other land-related issues. Other presenters at the symposium will speak on topics ranging from mineral lease negotiation to water recycling to mineral rights and seismic acquisition. Hunton & Williams’ Raymond A. Starling Appointed as General Counsel for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture
Hunton & Williams LLP announced today that Raymond A. Starling, an associate with the Raleigh office, has been appointed by State Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler to serve as general counsel for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture. As general counsel, Starling will assist the Department in various legal matters related to legislation, rulemaking, policy development, boards and commissions, and Departmental operations.

Starling received a B.S. in Agricultural Education, magna cum laude, from North Carolina State University in 1999. After graduating with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2002, Starling began a one-year clerkship with Associate Justice Mark Martin on the North Carolina Supreme Court. The following summer, Starling joined the Raleigh office of Hunton & Williams. He has practiced primarily in the area of commercial litigation, and has concentrated on developing a working knowledge of legal issues facing the agricultural and agribusiness sectors.

“We are sorry to lose such a wonderful colleague, but we are proud of Ray’s accomplishments and wish him nothing but the best in the future,” says William S.
