JS&H Elects Four New Partners
Jones, Skelton & Hochuli, P.L.C. is pleased to announce that Gary Linder, Ryan Linder, Ryan McCarthy and Les Tuskai have been elected into the partnership.

Gary Linder joined the firm in 2001 and concentrates his practice on class action and environmental law, construction defect, product liability, aviation, insurance defense and toxic torts. Mr. Linder received his law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1999. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Linder worked for State Farm Insurance. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Arizona and Missouri.

Ryan Linder joined the firm in 2000 and concentrates his practice on construction litigation and general insurance defense. Mr. Linder received his law degree from Arizona State University College of Law in 1999 and is admitted to practice in Arizona, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court, District of Arizona.

Ryan McCarthy joined the firm in 2000 and concentrates his practice on general civil litigation, wrongful death and personal injury defense, product liability defense, and environmental/toxic tort defense. Mr. McCarthy received his law degree from the University of Arizona College of Law in 2000. He is a member of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel and is admitted to practice in both Arizona state and federal courts.

Les Tuskai joined the firm in 2001 and his practice on insurance bad faith/extra-contractual liability, insurance coverage and disputes, professional malpractice, and other areas of civil litigation. He is a member of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel, is admitted to practice in Arizona and Missouri state courts, and is a Judge Pro Tem for Maricopa County Court. Mr. Tuskai received his law degree from Drake University Law School in 1988.

Mr. Minnaugh concentrates his practice on governmental liability and general civil litigation. He received his law degree from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law in 2002 and is admitted to practice in Arizona.

Jones Day's Banking & Finance Team Wins Transportation and Infrastructure Legal Adviser of the Year Award
Jones Day's banking and finance practice was named as "Transportation and Infrastructure Legal Adviser of the Year" at the Infrastructure Journal Awards 2007. The award was given to Jones Day in recognition of closing four toll road deals worth US$10.5 billion in the UK, France, and Spain.

Ed Nalbantian, Marc Isaacs, and Liz Saxton in London, Philippe Billot and Pierre-Nicolas Ferrand in Paris and Luis Muñoz and Rich Puttré in Madrid were the lead lawyers in these deals. Between them they worked on the largest deal to close in 2006, the US$10 billion Abertis acquisition of SANEF in the UK and France and on three Spanish shadow toll PPP roads: the US$194 million Autovia del Turia; the US$160 million AS-18 and the US$150 million second stage of the Valladolid Segovia highway.

Berman Named Chair of JUF Trades, Industries & Professions Division
Jenner & Block Partner Debbie L. Berman was named the Chair of the Jewish United Fund’s Trades, Industries & Professions Division in July 2006.

As Chair, Ms. Berman plans to expand the programming and opportunities within the TIP Divisions to address the needs and interests of TIP constituents. Among the new initiatives Ms. Berman plans to spearhead during the year include cross-divisional programming, new giving societies, young professionals groups within the various divisions, opportunities for professional women and a mission to Israel to meet with Israeli business leaders.

Ms. Berman is currently seated on the JUF/Jewish Federation’s board of directors and is the secretary and a member of its Executive Committee. She was also the 2005-06 Chair of the JUF/Jewish Federation Leadership Development Committee and Campaign Chair of the JUF Lawyers Division.

The JUF/Jewish Federation also honored Ms. Berman in 2005 with its coveted Davis, Gidwitz & Glasser Award, which recognizes “young leaders who represent an ideal of dedication and service to the Jewish community.
