CHERRY HILL, N.J.—January 6, 2006 – WolfBlock is pleased to announce that Harvey C. Johnson will join the firm as a partner in the Cherry Hill office.

A former sole practitioner with several lawyers, Johnson brings a wealth of municipal government and real estate experience to the firm. He has 30 years of experience in housing law and in industrial and commercial development, including working with a community development corporation in Camden that was involved in housing, daycare, commercial and industrial projects. Johnson's broad legal background also includes years of representing boards of education, corporations and various Taft-Hartley union benefit funds.

"We are delighted to be joined by such a talented and well-rounded lawyer as Harvey Johnson," said Cherry Hill office managing partner Hersh Kozlov. "Harvey's strong ties to various communities in South Jersey will be a meaningful boost to our strong real estate practice and will allow us to better serve our clients' needs."

Currently, Johnson serves as solicitor for the Camden City Board of Education, the Borough of Chesilhurst, the Lawnside Board of Education and the Township of Deptford.

Johnson was also counsel to the South Jersey Port Corporation, a major state agency that issued $40 million in bonds for port improvement during his tenure. He is currently special counsel to the Gloucester County Improvement Authority for its $50 million court project.

For 12 years, Johnson served as a municipal judge in Lawnside, N.J. He is also a past chair of the Camden County Improvement Authority, where he served for seven years. During Johnson's tenure with the CCIA, the organization financed several housing projects as well as other improvements in the county.

Johnson is a 1969 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he received awards for Quadrangular Moot Court Competition, constitutional law and tax law. His senior paper, Tax Incentives as a Means of Alleviating Poverty, was submitted by Dean Bernard Wolfman to Harvard Law Review.
