Fairfax 

Firm Culture:  Largely a firm of refugees from the Big Firms. Blankingship & Keith lawyers work as hard as necessary to achieve successful results, but do not work just to increase billable hours. It maintains or exceeds the quality of the best firms in the country without sacrificing the personal lives of its employees. It strongly encourages community service and pro bono work.
Work & Hours:  M-F 8:30-5:30 for staff (with some flex time). Lawyers work as hard as they have to. In run up to trial, hours can be very long, but day to day lawyers arrive after the sun is up and leave before the sun is down. No routine work on the weekends. B&K's billable target is 1365 a year.
Salary & Benefits:  competitive for small and mid size firms, but low compared to the sweatshops (everyone has to make trade offs - a reasonable living and a life, or inflated salary with slavish hours)
The Interview process:  personal. candidates meet and talk individually with all partners and most associates. Informal
Overall Impression:  Best place in the world to work!
