Overall Review:  Great firm!

Firm Culture:  Horrifying. Incompetence is rewarded. In the elevator, the managing firm partner actually said to me while playing on his blackberry (actually a treo, because they are so far behind in technology) "Gotta bill those point ones and point twos!" I actually had to tell my potential clients to go elsewhere.
Work & Hours:  Somewhat normal, although they have a set allotment of tijme that you can bill for certain tasks, regardless of how much time it acutally takes you (e.g. you may only bill .1 hours for updating status reports. Same for answering certain opposing counsel letters, regardless of how lomng it actually takes you to research the issue, review the file and write the letter.)
Salary & Benefits:  Let's just say that I took a $60 k hit when I took this job. and I am a mis level associate. Their advertisement that they offer competitive salaries needs to be considered in light of this....
The Interview process:  standard
Overall Impression:  One of the worst law firms with one of the worst local reputations (the only good thing is that the N&D sign can be seen from the freeway.) Look up how many times they have been sued (and/or are currently being sued) for malpractice. They have four cash-cow clients, any one of which would cause the firm to collapse if it were to cease being a N&D client.
