Firm Culture:  Galley slaves are treated better than the attorneys are at Tully Rinckey. At least the firm management doesn't discriminate. It treats all lawyers, both associates and partners, poorly. If you like being yelled at on a regular basis, this firm is for you.
Work & Hours:  The work is low end. Firm management places greater emphasis on bringing new clients in, regardless of whether they have a colorable claim. The hourly billing requirement doesn't seem unreasonable.... until you are stuck with excessive amounts of nonbillable administrative time and hours that you billed but management deems are "unqualified."
Salary & Benefits:  The salary is well below market value. Much of an attorney's salary is supposed to come in the form of a bonus. However, several people have reported that their bonus was substantially less than what they should have received based upon the revenue they generated.
The Interview process:  The hiring is done almost exclusively by the two founding partners and the managing partner. Other lawyers are typically left out of the process altogether, which is consistent with the firm's culture of not valuing the opinions of attorneys other than those at the top of the food chain.
Overall Impression:  Turnover is very high. The firm engages in substantial marketing efforts to tout itself as one of the best places to work. I guess that might be true, if you compare the firm to a Gladiator school or a Russuan Gulag. Run, don't walk, away from this firm.

Firm Culture:  Very friendly, respectful and professional
Work & Hours:  No compliments
Salary & Benefits:  Fair enough
The Interview process:  Tough
Overall Impression:  I'm glad I found this company to work at and grow professionally.
