Ms. Marro originally joined Nixon Peabody in 1997 as an associate, where she worked in the private clients group for seven years. She returns to Nixon Peabody from Jill M. Cicero and Associates in Rochester, where she worked with high-net-worth individuals on legal, tax, and procedural matters.

“We’re pleased to welcome Nicole back to Nixon Peabody,” said Jack Fitzgerald, leader of the firm’s Private Clients practice. “She returns with added experience that will bring a new dimension to our group. We’re looking forward to getting her involved very quickly with a variety of client work.”

Ms. Marro serves as secretary on the Board of Directors of the Heritage Christian Services Foundation. She is a member of the Professional Liaison Committee of the Rochester Area Community Foundation and is a member of the Professional Advisory Council of the United Way of Greater Rochester. Ms. Marro earned a J.D. from the University at Buffalo Law School, and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

Ms. Evans is an experienced attorney who provides counsel on prosecution cases primarily in the fields of biotechnology and chemistry. She has prosecuted applications involving novel compositions, drug delivery systems, diagnostic assays, molecular techniques and processes, transgenic organisms, pharmaceutical and industrial compounds and compositions, glasses, and glass ceramics. Additionally, Ms. Evans has extensive experience in patent interferences, licensing, and other transactional matters, client counseling matters, and patent litigation.

“Georgia is well-versed in providing counsel to our clients involved with patent interferences, licensing, and transactional issues,” said Richard D. Rochford, leader of Nixon Peabody’s national Technology and Intellectual Property practice group. “Her knowledge and understanding of patent issues will be particularly beneficial to our clients in Chicago and nationwide.”

Stephen Rudisill, managing partner of Nixon Peabody’s Chicago office, added, “Georgia is an important part of our strategy to grow our intellectual property practice in Chicago. We’re looking forward to getting her involved right away with a variety of new client work.”

Ms. Evans is originally from Rochester, New York. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University at Buffalo School of Law, where she was the note and comment editor of the Buffalo Law Review, and received her B.A. in chemistry from Binghamton University. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
