Blank Rome Earns Perfect Score in 2019 Corporate Equality Index
Summary: Blank Rome has recently received a perfect score in the 2019 Equality Index.
Blank Rome LLP is proud to announce that the Firm has received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2019 Corporate Equality Index (“CEI”), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign (“HRC”) Foundation. With this score, Blank Rome has been designated for the fourth year in a row as a “Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality” by the HRC, and joins the ranks of major U.S. businesses that earned top marks this year.
“We are honored that the Human Rights Campaign continues to recognize Blank Rome’s longstanding commitment and dedication to fostering and advancing diversity and inclusion initiatives in our workplace and beyond,” said Grant S. Palmer, Managing Partner and CEO at Blank Rome. “This mission has been the foundation of our Firm since its inception more than 70 years ago, and one that we aspire to actively continue to grow and promote through our Firm’s leadership; Chief Officers of Diversity and Inclusion, Sophia Lee and Christopher A. Lewis; and our Diversity and Inclusion Committee and BR Pride, BR United, and Women’s Forum affinity groups.”
The 2019 CEI rated 1,028 businesses in the report and evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community. Blank Rome’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
