Foley Enhances Litigation Department With Addition of Thomas M. Gosselin
Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that Thomas M. Gosselin has joined its Silicon Valley office as a member of the Litigation Department and the Labor & Employment Practice.

“Tom's breadth of experience representing clients in all aspects of employment litigation will enhance the firm's practice throughout California and nationally,” said Jon Wilson, chair of the firm's Litigation Department. “In particular, his experience defending employers in class action disputes in federal and California courts as well as before major administrative agencies will serve as a great resource to clients.”

For more than 30 years, Gosselin has focused his practice on representing employers ranging from high-tech companies to law firms in employment litigation, including class actions brought in state and federal courts and before the full range of employment-related administrative agencies.

He regularly counsels clients on employment matters including equal employment opportunity, wage and hour, privacy, trade secrets, disability accommodation, family and medical leave, affirmative action and collective bargaining. He has defended several wrongful discharge actions and handled numerous labor arbitrations. He also has substantial experience working with clients in both the private and public sectors on alternative dispute resolution and corporate compliance matters.

He is a frequent speaker on employment issues for management involving practice and procedure under nearly every act that governs employer-employee relations, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Before joining Foley, Gosselin was a founder and partner at Pahl & Gosselin, and previously worked as an attorney for the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C.

Foley's unique approach to labor and employment legal counsel has garnered recognition for the firm. In September 2005, Corporate Counsel magazine ranked Foley among the top 10 labor and employment legal services providers for Fortune 250 companies.
