ANDY NEEDHAM WILL SPEAK AT ANNUAL MEETING OF NYSBA TAX SECTION

On January 24, Cravath partner Andrew W. Needham will speak at the Annual Meeting of the Tax Section of the New York State Bar Association in New York City. Andy will serve as a panelist for a discussion entitled "Current Partnership Issues". Panelists will discuss current tax issues involving partnerships and partners, including compensatory partnership equity, new provisions eliminating loss duplication and requiring basis adjustments, disguised sales of partnership interests, section 752 rules relating to disregarded entities and the application of section 470 to partnership arrangements.
