Stinson Receives No. 1 Rankings in Chambers USA 2007

Four practice areas of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP ranked No. 1 in the latest edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. In total, six practice areas and 18 attorneys were recognized in this annual listing of top law firms and attorneys.

The firm ranked first in Missouri (Kansas City area) and Kansas for its corporate/M&A practice. The firm’s real estate practice and environmental practice also ranked No. 1 in Missouri (Kansas City area). In Kansas, the firm’s general commercial litigation practice was top ranked. James Holland Appointed to the Board of Directors for Goodwill of Central Arizona, Inc.

James E. Holland, Jr., an associate in the firm's Business Litigation Division, was recently elected to a three-year term on the board of directors for Goodwill of Central Arizona, Inc. As one of the oldest and largest non-profit agencies in Arizona, Goodwill of Central Arizona is nationally recognized as the leader in empowering people to achieve their highest level of personal and economic independence. Goodwill provides job training and career and social services to those with vocational barriers that can include physical and emotional disadvantages, welfare dependency, illiteracy and age.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the board of Goodwill of Central Arizona and support its mission and valuable work in the state of Arizona," Holland said.

Holland focuses his practice on business litigation and has considerable experience in construction litigation, insurance defense and election law. He has represented local municipalities, contractors, insurers and owners in complex construction litigation, including construction defects, contract disputes, wrongful termination and claims for equitable adjustment of construction contracts. Holland has also been actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America for many years.
