Barnes & Thornburg Welcomes Top Trial Attorney
Summary: Highly renowned trial attorney William “Billy” Martin joined Barnes & Thornburg in Washington D.C.
Barnes & Thornburg LLP welcomed William “Billy” Martin, a highly recognized civil and criminal trial lawyer. Martin will join the Washington D.C. office as a partner in their Litigation Department and White Collar and Investigations Practice Group.
Litigation Department chair William McErlean said, “Billy is a savvy strategist and tactician when it comes to complex civil and white collar litigation. Whether he’s representing high-profile government officials or sports and entertainment luminaries, Billy’s exactly who you want representing and acting on your behalf.”
Martin has participated in over 150 jury trials, representing large corporations, high-profile sports and entertainment clients, and political figures with various complex civil and white collar crime matters in state and federal courts, administrative hearings and arbitrations.
Washington D.C. office managing partner Karen McGee added, “The arrival of Billy not only complements the litigation bench and existing strengths of this growing office, but his reputation and nororiety will surely catch the attention of the government, business and legal communities in the Washington metropolitan area and beyond.”
Martin said, “I am pleased to be joining a firm with such talented white collar and investigations lawyers, including former U.S. Attorneys Roscoe Howard and Mike Battle in the Washington D.C. office. He earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law and his B.A. from Howard University.
