Perkins Coie Adds to Corporate Practice in Washington D.C.
Summary: The corporate practice at Perkins Coie in Washington D.C. added a new private equity partner.
Perkins Coie announced the addition of Christopher J. Hagan to their firm in Washington D.C. Hagan will be a partner in the corporate practice where he will focus on private equity matters and mergers and acquisitions. He joins from Brown Rudnick.
Chair Nate Ford of Perkin Coie’s Private Equity practice said, “Chris is a noteworthy inclusion to the firm’s nationally recognized mergers and acquisitions practice because of his exceptional track record working with private equity sponsors. Chris’s high-level of deal activity includes cross-border transactions across a range of industries including the business services, healthcare, energy, technology and manufacturing sectors. We are delighted to welcome him to the firm.”
Hagan has over 25 years of experience in general corporate law and private equity matters where he led and advised clients in private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, management incentive structuring, and growth equity financings. His work involves working with middle and lower middle market private equity funds and their portfolio companies through buyout transactions, divestitures, add-on acquisitions, and general corporate issues. He also works with private equity investment funds, family offices, hedge funds, fundless sponsors, institutional investors, and management teams.
Office Managing Partner Bill Malley of the Washington D.C. office added, “Chris is a great addition to Perkins Coie’s deep bench of corporate counsel and the firm’s consistently expanding presence in the nation’s capital. Chris is well-respected in East Coast legal and financial circles and has worked with many of the firm’s partners on deals while at his prior firm.”
He earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and received a B.A. from Albion College.
