Sidley Austin 
Bolsters Their LA Office with Two Talented Lawyers
Sidley Austin LLP continues to bolster their Los Angeles presence with the addition of two they've pulled from Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, an award winning Top Trial Lawyer, Chad Hummel, and a Leading Consumer Protection Partner, Clayton S. Friedman.
"We are excited to welcome Chad and Clay to our rapidly growing team of top-tier lawyers in Los Angeles," said Mike Kelley, co-managing partner of Sidley's Los Angeles office and member of the firm's Executive Committee. "Their arrival follows closely several recent additions in Los Angeles, including Dan Clivner and Matt Thompson in Century City and Joel Rothstein in our downtown Los Angeles office."
Mr. Hummel holds a strong reputation as a trial lawyer, with his death-defying acumen saving companies in antitrust, intellectual property, advertising, and marketing trials.
Mr. Friedman brings the carriage of decades of experience representing federal and state departments and even the Federal Trade Commission.
"Chad's strong reputation and deep experience as a trial lawyer in some of the nation's most high-profile cases make him an exciting addition to our firm," said Carter Phillips, chairman of the firm's Executive Committee. Their LA presence continues to intensify with all the raw talent they've been bringing aboard.
